Are we a burden to the Lord? No, we are His beloved.

Jesus does not dismiss the spiritual heritage of those who have been seeking God for generations, and neither must we. Instead, Jesus completes their journey, quenches the thirst of 30 generations,

Jesus speaks to our potential before we have reached it. He enthralls us with mysterious truths so tantalizing that they capture our souls’ longing for more than we can understand and see.

He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. The

God gave His Son a garden on His darkest night and gives gardens to you and me today.

Knowledge about God is challenged in the fire. If we choose to trust God even when He does not bring the deliverance we know He can, our knowledge becomes belief.

Perhaps it is time for a holy pause, to remind ourselves who steadies the pillars of the earth.

Nothing can take away the reality of the good that was. Not even loss and razing to the ground, planting a garden instead, and trying to forget.

Maybe this Lent we should give up grabbing folks with our words before we know where their wounds are, trying to help without having a clue about the nature of what lies beneath their bandages.

The power of praying honest prayers lies in the character of the One to whom we pray. He is Truth, and He is just. When we pray honestly, we can’t lose.
